Lady Hot Dogs get the win in their second round Indiana Kitchen Classic game vs Taylor

After losing to Pioneer in the first round of the Indiana Kitchen Classic on Monday evening the Lady Hot Dogs traveled to Delphi to take on the Titans of Taylor in their second round game on Thursday evening.

Using a stifling defense the Lady Hot Dogs garnered 18 steals and forced 30 turnovers on the night along with scoring 36 points in the second half en route to the victory!

In the scoring column the Lady Hot Dogs were led by Ella McAtee with 20 points, Vannessa Guardado with 17, and Saira Flores with 16.

In the rebounding deepartment the Hot Dogs were led by Saira Flores with 10, earning her a double double, and Vannessa Guardado with 6. On the defensive end, Ella McAtee and Vannessa Guardado each had 6 steals and Ashley Vasquez-Rivera had 4. Saira Flores and Evelyn Vasquez-Bautista each had a block to contribute to the defensive effort and Vannessa Guardado also added 3 assists. The Lady Hot Dogs will travel again to Delphi on Saturday afternoon to play a 2 pm game against the winner of Rossville and North Newton, which will be played on Friday. Let’s go Hot Dogs!
