Lafayette, IN — The Lafayette Symphony Orchestra (LSO) invites the community to an unforgettable evening of celebration at its annual gala, Run for the Roses, on Friday, May 1 at the Stables Event Center.

This year’s gala marks a milestone: 75 years of music, community, and connection. Inspired by the excitement and elegance of the Kentucky Derby, the evening will blend festive flair with the LSO’s mission to inspire, educate, and unite through live orchestral performance.

Guests will enjoy a lively cocktail hour, dinner, and engaging entertainment, along with opportunities to support the orchestra’s artistic and educational initiatives. The evening will feature a spirited race-themed fundraising activity and a paddle raise, allowing attendees to join in the fun while contributing to the LSO’s future.

“The gala is more than a celebration,” said CEO Janette Brown. “It’s a chance to reflect on the power of music to bring people together and to invest in the next chapter of the LSO’s impact in our community.”

Proceeds from the event will support the orchestra’s performances, youth education programs, and community outreach efforts across the region.

Attendees are encouraged to embrace the theme with Derby-inspired attire—hats encouraged!
