Large Fire Breaks Out at Livengood Pallet Service

A large fire broke out at the Livengood Pallet Service on State Road 28 Tuesday night. Several departments were called to battle the fire, which happened around 7 p.m. Nearly 50 firefighters responded and tankers had to bring water to the scene.

The fire closed State Road 28 at 900 West most of the night. Clinton County Central Dispatch said the road was back open a little after 2 a.m. Wednesday. However, motorists are being advised to avoid the area because the fire did rekindle and firefighters are still on the scene putting out hot spots.

Fire crews from four departments battled the fire at the main building and out buildings along with grass fires blowing across State Road 28. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
