Larry Wayne Parker, 78, of Frankfort, passed away May 7, 2026 at the Indiana Veterans Home, West Lafayette, IN.  He was born December 27, 1947 in Americus, Indiana at home, to Henry Clay & Daisy Bell (Sanders) Parker.  He married Karen Zimmerman on December 27, 1985 in Frankfort.

Larry attended school in Lafayette and earned his GED.  He worked in maintenance at Frito Lay for 26 years, retiring in 2008.  He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, with three terms in Vietnam.  Larry loved to ride horses, tinker & work with his hands, he liked old western movies.  He loved spending time with his grandchildren, especially making videos with them.

Larry is survived by his wife, Karen Parker of Frankfort, children, Rocky Dean Parker of Frankfort, Carmen Gilbert of Terre Haute, Nick Scott of Washington, J.D. Scott of Oxnard, CA, Dan (Michelle) Scott of Lafayette, Jamie Scott of Ocala, FL, Tori Dircks of Alexandria, siblings, Darleena (Tommy) Byrd and Joetta Parker of Kentucky and Rex (Karen) Parker of Lafayette, 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Rocky & Kenny Parker.

Per Larry’s wishes, no services are planned.  Clinton County Crematory and Archer-Weston Funeral & Cremation Center, 501 E. Clinton St., Frankfort is assisting the family.  Inurnment will take place at New Richmond Cemetery at a later date.  Please visit archerweston.com to leave a condolence.
