Lawrence O. Goff

Lawrence O. Goff, 82, of Kirklin, passed away August 17, 2022, at IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette.

The son of Leonard and Dorothy (Jenkins) Goff, Lawrence was born February 28, 1940, in Michigantown.  He attended Jackson High School.  Lawrence had lived in Cyclone; Spencer, Massachusetts; and Fickle before moving to Kirklin in 1994.

Lawrence worked several jobs through his years including Jaggers Chevrolet, Spencer Fence Company, and Pearson Ford.

Lawrence married Betty Lou Martin, January 28, 1960, and they had four children before divorcing.  Children, Michael (wife, Elizabeth) Goff of Kirklin, Deanna (husband, Jeff) Bryan of Ellettsville, and Mark (wife, Teresa) Goff of Frankfort, survive Lawrence.  One son, Brian Goff, preceded him in death.

Also surviving are his brother, Richard Goff of Fickle, two sisters, Ruth (husband, Larry) Aaron of Russiaville and Sue (husband, Lloyd) of Thorntown; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchild; and special friend, Catherine “Jane” Crum.

Lawrence was a member of Moose Lodge #7 and Clinton County Antique Machinery Club.

Visitation will be held Monday, August 22, 2022, from 11am until the time of the service at 1pm at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort.  Pastor Tom Holton will be officiating.  Burial will follow in Whiteman Cemetery, Michigantown.  Messages of condolence are welcomed at www.gendafuneralhome.com.
