Students from the Learning to Lead program were invited to participate in a mock trial last week at the Clinton County Courthouse as they flexed their lawyer, witness and juror skills as a team.
The students were accompanied by Judge Brad Mohler, who was on hand to help the participants improvise the court case. The students were tasked with playing the parts of prosecutor, defense attorney, jury members and witnesses.
The mock trial is only one of the numerous activities and educational opportunities presented to the Learning to Lead students throughout he Purdue Extension program, which aims to introduce local students to various local leaders throughout the community to develop their leadership skills.
