Lebanon FFA President Lauren Argotte has been announced as the recipient of a $1,000 grant from the National FFA organization to support her Agricultural Communications Supervised Agricultural Experience, known as SAE.
“I’m incredibly grateful for this opportunity and for all the experiences FFA has provided me,” Argotte wrote. “I submitted my grant application in November, and I was overjoyed to learn just before winter break that I had been selected as a recipient.”
Argotte stands as a senior at Lebanon High School and is seeking to continue her education at college where she is expecting to study Agricultural Communications and Agribusiness with a focus on marketing. Argotte has served as both the Indiana FFA District IV President and the Lebanon FFA President.
Argotte was noted for her national recognition as she placed sixth in the Agriscience Social Systems Division 5 at the 97th National FFA Convention held in Indianapolis.
Argotte has also made headlines as she pursued her communications passion further with an internship last fall at the City of Lebanon Fire Department where she recorded, edited and published videos and other communications materials for the department.
