Lebanon Medical Facility Renamed In Honor Of Founder Dr. McQuade Jones

Riggs Community Health Center announced the renaming of its Boone County facility in Lebanon, IN, to The Dr. McQuade-Jones Community Clinic to celebrate its founder’s dedication to patient care alongside her 11 years of leadership as the facility’s CEO.

Since opening the Boone County Community Clinic in the basement of the Boone County Health Department in 2002, Dr. Bambi McQuade Jones has focused on community health. Through her leadership, the clinic became an independent not-for-profit organization in 2009 where it earned her the Indiana Primary Care Association’s Provider of the Year award in 2012 for her work in prenatal care. After stepping into the role of CEO at Riggs in 2014, she led the merger of the clinic with Riggs in 2016. In June 2024, she was honored with the Sagamore of the Wabash award for her exceptional service to the community.

The Dr. McQuade-Jones Community Clinic serves nearly 3,000 patients, offering a wide range of essential services, including family primary care, lab services, behavioral health and dental care. Chair of the Riggs Board of Directors Travis Duell commented about the reasoning behind the renaming of the facility.

“Our Board unanimously  agreed that we needed to honor Dr. McQuade-Jones’s extraordinary contributions in a meaningful way,” Duell said. “Renaming the facility, she built is a fitting tribute to her legacy of compassion and commitment to our community.”

Dr. McQuade-Jones shared her appreciation for the honor of having the clinic rebranded in her name.

“I have always believed in the mission of providing high-quality care to those who may not have the best insurance or any at all,” Dr. McQuade-Jones said. “From our humble beginnings in the Health Department to joining and growing Riggs, my passion has always been to provide patient-centered care and build a supportive team for our community.”

Under her leadership, the organization has reportedly nearly doubled the number of patients served and expanded its offerings, including adult and pediatric care, prenatal and specialty women’s health, laboratory services, integrated behavioral health, chiropractic, dental care and retail pharmacy services.

“Dr. McQuade-Jones’s impact on our community is immeasurable,” Duell said. “It is remarkable to consider the profound changes made and the beacon of care provided for over 70,000 patient visits this year alone, ensuring that everyone receives the care they deserve. Her vision and compassion have truly transformed lives, and this renaming is a testament to her lasting influence.”
