Lebanon Parks Department Releases 2025 Projects

The Lebanon Parks Department has announced its upcoming 2025 Park Projects that are being planned to enter the community within the next few weeks and throughout the year.

The department stated that it is expecting to implement new pickleball courts in Memorial Park and Abner Longley Park this year. The pickleball courts in Memorial Park are expected to be under construction as soon as the weather breaks with an anticipated start date in late February or early March. The department stated that the completion date is expected before July 4 as weather and supplies permit. Due to the project, the department will not be hosting a Spring Pickleball League this year. Once the Memorial Park courts are complete, construction will begin on the courts at Abner Longley Park.

The department also stated that a new trail will be implemented by the football field at Abner Longley Park. The department is currently in the beginning stages of extending the trail through the perimeter of the park, and the trail will be from the northwest corner of the football fields, along the west side of the football fields and down to cross the entry to the park.

The department lastly stated that it is currently planning for the old Street Garage off Lafayette Avenue to become a park. The department will release more information as the plan develops.
