Lebanon Tigers Track & Field Kicks Off Season In Stride

The Lebanon Tigers Track and Field teams secured second place in the Boone County meet hosted by Zionsville High School on Tuesday night after an outstanding season opener against Hamilton Heights on March 12.

The Lebanon Lady Tigers girls’ track and field team secured second-place in the Boone County meet with a total score of 67.5 points, falling to Zionsville with 119.5 points and rising above Western Boone with 57 points.

Shot Put – Soteria Udu 2nd, Carley Adams 4th, and Gabby Deakins 5th

Discus – Carly Adams 2nd, Gabby Deakins 4th, and Maddy Welty 5th

Pole Vault – Ciarra Hiatt 1st and Jocelyn Butler tied for 4th

4×800 Relay – team of Sarah Keith, Sydney Smock, Madi Jo Platt, and Audrey Patterson 3rd

100 Hurdles – Jazmine Moore 4th and Elektra Moore 5th

100 – Soteria Udu 1st, Leila Richards 2nd, and Autumn Jones 3rd

1600 – Penny Lamerson 1st

4×100 Relay – team of Alli Albea, Claire Boling, Leila Richards, and Edwina Yealu 3rd

The Lebanon Tigers boys’ track and field team also secured second place in the Boone County meet with 75 points, falling to Zionsville with 151 points and rising above Western Boone with 18 points.

The Lebanon Tigers teams also had an outstanding showcase during their season opener on Tuesday, March 12 where they hosted Hamilton Heights. While the girls’ team secured second-place with 49 points, Ciarra Hiatt broke the pole vault record with a jump of 9′ 6″, which broke her own record and Jocelyn Butler’s record of 9′.
