Lebanon Utilities Encourages Community Members To Report Clogged Storm Drain Inlets Ahead Of Heavy Rainfall This Weekend

The Lebanon Utilities Department encouraged community members near to or passing by a storm drain inlet to ensure that the inlet is clear of debris ahead of heavy rains expected throughout the weekend.

The Lebanon Utilities Department released a statement to encourage community members to monitor local storm drain inlets during the heavy rainfall expected this weekend, and reports of blocked inlets may be directed to the Storm Water Service Center at 765-482-8870 for clogged or slow-moving storm drains or excess lawn debris on or near a storm drain or in a swale.

“We are expecting one to two inches of rain over the next few days,” the department released. “If you have a storm drain inlet near your house, please check it to see that it is clear of debris. This helps reduce flooding in your neighborhood and improve water quality in our creeks.”
