LeRoy P. Lyman, 79, of Colfax, died July 8, 2022. He was born September 28, 1942 in Lafayette, Ind. to James & Edith (Pugh) Lyman. He married Rita Jo Scarlett on December 2, 1962 in Lafayette and she preceded him in death on January 24, 2010.
LeRoy attended school in Dayton and had lived in Dayton and the Colfax area his entire life. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserves. He was a press operator, retiring from Alcoa after 29 years. He was a member of the Methodist Church in Colfax. LeRoy loved cooking, decorating cakes, drawing and painting.
He is survived by his daughter: Paula (Lewis) Crews of rural Frankfort, 5 sons: LeRoy (Pam) Lyman Jr. of Brookston, Tim ((Kim Shoemaker) Lyman of rural Frankfort, Brian (Stacey) Lyman of Colfax, Roger (Tonya Williamson) Lyman of Colfax, Mark Lyman of Crawfordsville, a brother, Joe Ly
man, 3 sisters, Rosella Tittle, Mary O’Neil and Ruth Killian, 13 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by a brother and 3 grandchildren.
Funeral Services:
Visitation will 9-11 a.m. Monday, July 11, 2022 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery, Colfax, Ind. Please visit goodwinfuneralhome.com, where you may leave a message for the family.
