Library Celebrates Art This Weekend

The 37th Annual Friends of the Library Fine Art Exhibition & Sale is underway.

Painting: Jed Dorsey

Over 80 local and regional artists are showcasing work in a variety of media including glass, baskets, ceramics, dried flower arraingements, fiber, jewelry, mixed media, painting , photography, printmaking, music, sculpture and wood.

In some ways, the library has become a beautiful museum where you may purchase the items on display and in so doing, help the artist, the library, the gift giver and the recipient.

During the Friday evening showing for supporters and patrons, music filled the air from a String Quartet and Piano while wine tasting and a Live Painting demonstration added to the flavor of the evening.

Saturday and Sunday hours are 9AM to 5PM Saturday and 1PM to 5PM Sunday.

The committee that organized the event this year included Susie Blackmore, Jen Casey, Jamie Anderson, Elias Garda, Samantha McBarnes, Susie Rusk, Carol Rodibaugh with key help from Mindy Emswieller and community volunteers and friends of the Library.
