Library to Host Coffee and Conversation With Local Author

Learn about the connection modern writers share with Shelly’s Frankenstein at Coffee & Conversation with indie author Jeff Bennington at the Frankfort Community Public Library.  Author of four #1 Amazon Best-selling Supernatural Books, Bennington is also an avid blogger and qualifier of the 2018 Boston Marathon. Coffee & Conversations will occur in Harry’s Coffee Bar on the lower level of the Frankfort Library Wed., Feb. 21 at noon.  At this event, Jeff Bennington will discuss his experiences in writing supernatural and science fiction with a Frankenstein tie-in. He will host giveaways of his books in digital and physical format.

Bennington’s newest release, Federal Underground, is a story of aliens and government conspiracy. Another of his popular books, Reunion, is a supernatural thriller, which tells the story of a mass high school shooting’s aftermath (20 years later). The novel has an exciting supernatural element while the characters experience the real-life ramifications of P.T.S.D.

Coffee and Conversation with Jeff Bennington is part of Frankfort Community Public Library’s One State / One Story: Frankenstein programming. One State / One Story: Frankenstein is an initiative designed by Indiana Humanities, in partnership with the Indiana State Library and Indiana Center for the Book, to encourage Hoosiers to read the classic novel as it turns 200 in 2018. More than a dozen programs—including a digital gaming workshop, a sci-fi and horror writing festival for teens, community reads and read-a-thons, and college and university partnerships—will bring Frankenstein to life all over the state. One State / One Story: Frankenstein has been made possible in part by a major grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities. Learn more at www.IndianaHumanities.org/ Frankenstein.
