Linda L. Tolan, 67, Rossville, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, September 15, 2023. She was born September 3, 1956, in Indianapolis to Tom Staten and MaryLou (McMillian) Joiner. She married Harold “Dale” Tolan on March 23, 1974, in Indianapolis, and he survives.
Linda was a 1974 graduate of Ben Davis High School. She made a living helping prepare taxes. She enjoyed playing Bingo and going to the casinos and riverboats. But the majority of her time was spent with family. She enjoyed playing games with her grandchildren and making memories with her husband and children. Linda was a strong-willed woman that loved taking care of those around her.
Along with her husband of 49 years, Linda is survived by her children, Christy (Kurtis) Schaefer and Nicholas (Maria) Tolan; father, Tom (Jean Persinger) Staten; a sisters, Carol Garza and Tammy (Craig) Dreyovich; and four grandchildren, Nathan and Alex Schaefer and Carter and Lucas Tolan.
She was preceded in death by her mother; a brother Larry Cecil; sister, Jo Joiner and stepfather, Doyce Joiner.
