Lindy Thackston Comes Home To Frankfort For Hoosier Storytellers

Lindy Thackston anchors FOX 59 Morning News weekdays from 4 to 7 a.m. She’s been with FOX 59 since October 2013.

Tonight at the Frankfort Library ( Skanta Theater) as a part of Hoosier Storytellers Lindy was interviewed by Michael Clossin. In the interview Lindy told about her journey from high school in Frankfort Indiana, college, her many positions in media, and her journey with cancer. Lindy beat cancer not only once but has rang that bell again and is cancer free.

Lindy has spent more than 16 years covering news, sports and entertainment. She has been an anchor and reporter at various stations, including WLFI-TV in Lafayette, Indiana, WSIL-TV in southern Illinois and First Coast News in Jacksonville, Florida.

She spent several years as an IndyCar Series pit reporter and pre-race host for the Versus Network and NBC Sports Network and also reported from college football sidelines for a few years.

Lindy has been a host for the Daily Buzz, a three-hour morning show.

It was a great turn out for the Hoosier Storytelling event. Lindy took time out for a few photos with our Mayor Judy Sheets, Bill Miller, and a few others.

There was also a question and answer session in which Lindy graciously answered questions from the audience before leaving to try and get some rest before airing at the very early hour of 4 am on Fox 59 News.

Thank You Lindy for never forgetting your home town.
