Local DAR To Hold Ceremony Sunday At Bunnell Cemetery For Soldier William Carter

Did you know that we have ten Revolutionary Soldiers buried in Clinton County?
( Captain Harmon Aughe Chapter, NSDAR) Daughter’s of the Revolution are trying to put special commemorative markers at the grave of each soldier.

This Sunday 9-17-23, DAR (Daughter’s Of The Revolution will be at Bunnell Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. marking the grave of William Carter. This will be done in conjunction with the William Harrison SAR Chapter from Tippecanoe County.

There will be a drum & fife presentation, Clinton Central varsity choir to sing the national anthem, Clinton Central FFA to video the event and assist as needed, and Jerry Shore representing the Clinton County Honor Guard will play Taps.

It promises to be a meaningful event and hopefully they will be doing nine more of these in the coming years.

The public is invited and encouraged to attend Sunday.

There will be photos on Clinton County Daily News following the event.
