Lois Ilene Nydegger, 89, of Colfax, went to be with her Lord on June 28, 2023 at Franciscan Health Lafayette East Hospital in Lafayette, Ind. She was born on February 25, 1934 in Colfax to Herman A. and Zula Alice (Sheets) Bradshaw. She married Charles F. Nydegger on December 31, 1953 in Colfax and he preceded her in death on February 23, 2010.
A lifelong Colfax resident, Lois was a 1952 graduate of Colfax High School. She was a homemaker and devoted wife, mom, and grandmother. She was an 80-year member of the Colfax Christian Church where she taught Sunday School for over 40 years, was Bible School Director, and member of the Prayer Team. She was an amazing cook, known for her noodles and pies – but mostly her chocolate chip cookies. She enjoyed gardening and her greatest love was spending time with her grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday, July 2, 2023 at Colfax Christian Church, 314 S. Clark St., Colfax, IN 46035 with her son, Gregg Nydegger, officiating. Friends may visit 2 p.m. until the time of celebration on Sunday at the Church. Private Family Burial will be held in Plainview Cemetery, Colfax.
