Lola “Jane” Smith, 72, of Clinton County, passed away Monday, February 12, 2024, at Clinton House Health and Rehabilitation. She was born May 25, 1951, in Glasgow, Kentucky to Joseph and Mary (Hodges) Davis.
Jane worked as a nurse’s aide and QMA at Ben Hur Health and Rehabilitation in Crawfordsville for many years. She was known for her big personality and sassy attitude. She enjoyed singing and telling jokes. She also enjoyed playing bingo, watching movies, and attending sporting events and spend time with her nieces and nephews.
Jane is survived by her brother, Dan Davis; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, including niece, Jody Dodd and great nieces- Karrington Payne and Kaiti Faulkner who took special care of their aunt Jane.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, William Jackson, Mary Lois Gordon, Joann Rich, Linda Lemen, and James Davis.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at 10am until the time of the service at 12pm at Clarks Hill Christian Church. Burial will follow at Clarks Hill Cemetery. Day & Genda Funeral Home is assisting with the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made in Jane’s honor to the funeral home to assist with the funeral expenses.
