LTHC Homeless Services located in Lafayette, serving surrounding counties including Clinton and Carroll counties, has issued a request for donations for homeless community members as the temperatures continue below freezing.
The organization has stated that it has an urgent need for winter gear donations for the homeless population that it serves, especially due to the subzero temperatures currently being experienced and below-freezing temperatures expected to continue throughout January.
Donations of winter gloves, hats and thermal sets may be dropped off at Door #4 on 13th Street in Lafayette from Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Gear may also be purchased directly from the organization’s Amazon list, which can be found here.
“Your support makes a difference in keeping our neighbors warm this winter,” the organization wrote. “Thank you for your kindness and generosity.”
