Maggie Elmore was crowned Miss Clinton County at the Clinton County 4-H Fair Queen Pageant Saturday night in the Edward Jones Community 4-H Building at the Clinton County Fairgrounds.
Elmore, who was sponsored by the Kirklin Hoosier 4-H Club, was victorious over four other contestants.
“I’m overwhelmed,” said Elmore. “The Lord has blessed me so much through this. Honestly, I hoped for this but I never dreamed it would come true.
Elmore added this is the first pageant she has entered.
“I’ve actually always dreamed of being in the Clinton County pageant since I was a little girl,” she said. “As I got to know some of the queens in the past, I have always looked up to them and wanted to be that role model for younger girls.”
Olivia Wyrick, who was sponsored by Strange Family Farm, was named First Runner-Up and Kylie Rapp, who was sponsored by Rapp Rental Properties, was named Second Runner-Up and Miss Congeniality.
Others who competed in the event were Courtney Rodkey and Shelby Butler. Rodkey was sponsored by New Holland and Healthy Communities of Clinton County and Butler was sponsored by Madison Blue Ribbon 4-H Club.
Clinton County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Shan Sheridan was the Master of Ceremonies for the event, which was televised live on WILO-TV.
