Majestic Homes of Lafayette Real Estate Agent Kevin Weaver stated that the project began when Lafayette architect Kelly Good with KJG Architecture purchased the lot and requested for Majestic Homes to begin a project to bring a few small homes to reside on the lots. Weaver stated that the open house is intended to be enjoyed by all community members regardless of whether they are in the market for a new home or just want to explore the new amenities of Frankfort.
Weaver stated that the company is striving to keep all of the homes below the $300,000 price point for the community. Three homes will be opened for the open house with two of the houses being priced around $280,000 with the third being around the higher range of $290,000.
“When we first started, we had a couple slip over the $300,000 and we couldn’t sell them,” Weaver said. “It was an awakening for us, and we took a bit of a hit on those but made some changes to our philosophy and what we were going to put up to keep that price point down.”
The houses that will be opened for the public to view will be three-bedroom, two-bath ranches with granite or quartz kitchens. All of the houses will have rear-covered porches and two-car garages, but every floorplan varies slightly to add a unique flavor into the homes as visitors explore.
Community members in attendance will be able to start the process of purchasing the home immediately at the open house if they find that the structure is the home of their dreams, and community members will also be given the option to explore and learn more about pre-sold homes, which are offered by Majestic Homes.
“We also do pre-sold homes where a person can come in, and maybe what they see on Wednesday isn’t exactly what they’re looking for, but within those parameters and the size, we would build a home for them where they pick out all the design features,” Weaver said. “We call those pre-sold homes where a buyer contracts with us and we work together to design their home.”
Majestic Homes is also continuing housing developments in the Frankfort area with hopes to begin other major projects for the Clinton County community to have access to additional housing in the local area.
Fairway Mortgage will be in attendance for the event from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. to answer any questions that the public or any visitors might have about financing as Majestic Homes hosts a special financing program, and Fairway Mortgage will attend to answer any questions visitors might have about the potential financing of the the homes on the lot in Frankfort.
