As Halloween gets closer, Mother Nature is about to throw a major curveball for all you Trick-or-Treaters on October 31 as a major blast of cold air is coming this way from Canada.
High pressure will slide into the central part of the country this weekend. It will keep trick-or-treaters dry in most areas. However, it will also bring cold air which will be a surprise to most who have been experiencing warm temperatures over the last week.
Following a high near 77 Friday, scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible before 9 p.m. and thunderstorms will be possible from 9 p.m. and 2 p.m. before another round of showers and thunderstorms come up after 2 a.m. Lows will be around 45 with southwest winds becoming north northwest after midnight with gusts as high as 18 mph.
Saturday starts with an early chance of showers along with late afternoon showers and a high of 56. Saturday night will feature showers after 8 p.m. and a low of 46.
Sunday will be wet with a high of 51 and low of 33.
The real change will come Monday as showers will give way to partly sunny skies and a high of 42. Monday night is expected to be clear with a low of 25.
Tuesday will have mostly sunny skies with a high of 39 and a low of 24 Tuesday night.
Wednesday’s temperatures will range between 40 during the day and 25 at night before warming up to 46 under mostly sunny skies Thursday.
There is no mention of snow in the forecast. But with the temps hovering below freezing, it’s always a possibility
