At approximately 4:04 a.m. Friday, the Boone County Communications Center received a call that there was a suspicious vehicle sitting off the roadway, in a nearby field, in the area of County Roads Edlin Roa / 180 W, Lebanon. Deputies responded to the area to find a silver Infinity passenger car, that was running, sitting off the roadway. On first observation, deputies saw that there was no one in the driver’s seat. Once they got in a better position, they noticed that there was a Hispanic male in the front passenger seat.
Upon witnessing the male subject, later identified as Yari Pacheco-Santiago (23 yrs old) of Indianapolis, deputies saw that Yari was holding his throat and blood was throughout the inside of the vehicle. Upon witnessing this, deputies immediately went to Yari’s aid and started medical personnel to the scene.
Yari was transported off the scene by ambulance to a nearby medical facility, in stable condition.
Boone County Sheriff’s Crime Scene Investigators and Detectives were requested and they responded to the scene and collected evidence.
This incident is still under investigation. We have no suspect information at this time.
