Man Arrested By ISP After Refusing to Exit Vehicle

At approximately 11:06 a.m. Thursday, the Dayton City Police Officer requested assistance with a disorderly truck driver who refused to identify himself or exit the truck.

Trooper Derrick Scott of the Indiana State Police Commercial Motor Vehicle Division and Trooper Tyler Stinson, Master Trooper Aaron McCormick, Probationary Trooper Michael Risley and two Tippecanoe County Deputies arrived to assist the Dayton Officer. Information was received that the driver, Troy Brown, 57 of Arlington, TX was allegedly wanted out of Clark County IN on a Failure to Appear for Larceny. Mr. Brown was uncooperative and would not comply with the officers when he was told to open the door and exit the vehicle.

Brown allegedly kept refusing to unlock the door or exit the vehicle because he was not dressed. He continued to stall for over 35 minutes before officers were able to roll down the window, unlock the truck and with assistance from county deputies, was taken into custody. Brown was transported to Tippecanoe County Jail for extradition back to Clark County on the active warrant.

Brown was driving a white 2012 Kenworth for DD Logistics Inc. out of Bolingbrook, IL. The truck was allegedly broke down and it was towed from the scene.
