Man Arrested for Resisting Law Enforcement

At approximately 3:38 p.m. on Tuesday, November 21, a male subject was driving his vehicle on County Road 300 North near County Road 130 East. Deputy Dennis Tillman was at the scene of a residence investigating a burglary when he determined the activity of the vehicle to be suspicious in nature and he attempted to make a traffic stop to investigate.

The vehicle refused to stop and led Deputy Tillman on a short chase that ended in a field west of County Road 250 East near the railroad tracks north of State Road 28. The man fled on foot and was apprehended in the field a short time later by deputies from the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office and officers from the Frankfort Police Department.

The suspect was identified as Gregory E. Jacobs II, 43, from Frankfort. He was arrested and charged with Resisting Law Enforcement with a Vehicle, a Level 6 Felony; Resisting Law Enforcement, a Class A Misdemeanor; Criminal Recklessness, a Class B Misdemeanor; and Driving While Suspended, a Class A Infraction.
