Margaret Ann (James) Miller passed away January 21, 2026 in Lafayette. She was born September 16, 1937 to Van and Berniece (Carr) James in Kennett, Missouri. Margaret married Phillip Miller on April 21, 1956 in Frankfort and he preceded her in death January 24, 2013.
She graduated Frankfort High School in 1955. Margaret worked at Marsh for many years as a cashier. She was dearly loved by the shoppers at Marsh and had never met a stranger in her check out line. Margaret was an avid crafter and excelled in sewing. She made several quilts, drapes, and curtains for family and loved ones. Above all Margaret will be remembered for her devotion to her family. She was sure you never had a bad day and made it her mission to make it better, whether that be through jokes or your favorite sweeet treat.
Margaret is survived by her children, Lori ( Mark) Ploughe, Tony ( Angela) Miller, and Lanna Pugsley; 8 Grandchildren; 5 Great-Grandchildren and 3 Great-Great-Grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one infant brother.
A private family inurnment will take place at a later date at Green Lawn Mausoleum in Frankfort.
