Margarita Ramones, 76, Frankfort, passed away surrounded by her family October 14, 2022, at her home. She was born on October 17, 1945, in McAllen, Texas to Carmen Gutierrez and Guadelupe Arenas. She married Rodolfo Ramones, he preceded her in death August 19, 2019.
Margarita worked for CNH and was a member of Hispanic Baptist Church. She enjoyed dancing, listening to Tejano music, and watching movies and “The Walking Dead.” She loved being around family and taking care of her family. She loved cooking for her family and could always be found at sporting events for her grandkids and other family events.
Margarita is survived by her children, Rachel Vega, Francisco “Frank” (Belinda) Vega, Michael Vega; stepchildren, Daniel, Jose, Sheila, Rudy and Ramone Ramones; siblings, Bertha Garza, Hermelinda Guttierez, Rosa Hernandez, and Olivia (Juan) Ovalle; and grandchildren, Isac Chavez, Alonzo Chavez, Gabriel Chavez, Abraham Jimenez, Francisco Vega, Esly Pozos, Yadeen Pozos, and Franzel Pozos.
Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, son, Jesse Vega; siblings, Carmen Gutierrez, Jose Louis Chavez, Felipe Chavez, Petra Chavez; and a grandchild, Cesar Vega.
Visitation will be held Friday, October 21, 2022, from 3pm until the time of the service at 7pm, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort. Pastor Leo Gonzales will officiate. Burial will take place, Saturday, October 22, 2022, at 10am, at Maple Lawn Cemetery in Flora.
