Marilyn E. Cripe

Marilyn E. Cripe, 85, of Frankfort, passed away September 5, 2018 in Indianapolis, IN surrounded by her family.  She was born in Clinton County, IN on August 20, 1933 to W. Dale and Mary (Gum) Miller.  She graduated from Rossville High School in 1951.  She married Merl B. Cripe on July 3, 1953 and he preceded her in death in 1981.

Marilyn worked as a legal secretary and court reporter in Clinton and Tippecanoe counties for over 50 years.  She was a prolific reader, avid bridge and euchre player, and enjoyed traveling the world.  She volunteered her time and talents to several groups over the years, including Pink Ladies, where she served as treasurer, Friends of the Library, and Bible Studies.  She was a member and past trustee of the First Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Frankfort, where she taught Sunday school.

Marilyn is survived by 2 daughters, Barbara A. (Bo) Beaulieu, of W. Lafayette, IN.  and Janet S. Cripe, of Zionsville, IN. a son, Keith D. (Connie) Cripe of Maple Valley, WA, grandchildren, Lisa (Vincent) Kimura, Brian (Isa) Beaulieu, Diane (Scott) Geiszler, Andrea (Britt) Bowens, Alexandra (Jason) O’Connor and Pamela (Cody Young) Cripe.  She loved her 10 great-grandchildren, Ava, Roman and Dante Kimura, Jackson, Parker and Carson Geiszler, Caleb Bowens, Juliette and Aria O’Connor and Lillian Beaulieu.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother Charles Miller.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life service at 6 p.m. Monday, September 10, 2018 at the First Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 352 W. Clinton St., Frankfort, IN.  Family will receive friends following the service in the church Fellowship Hall. Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Frankfort Community Public Library or the Clinton County Cancer Fund, envelopes will be available at the church.  Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S.
