Marion “Hootie” James Gibson, 67, Flora, passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at his home in Flora. He was born July 17, 1956 in Logansport, IN to Marvin James and Leona L. (Harris) Gibson.
Marion attended Carroll High School and formerly attended the Delphi Pentecostal Church. He worked for Brim Concrete until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, socializing, movies, and going out to eat. He enjoyed the simple life.
Marion is survived by his siblings, Auzilene Barnes and Wanda (Harry) Trueblood both of Logansport, Jimmy Owsley of Russellville, Alabama, and Marna (Guy) Hoaks of Battle Ground; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother-in-law, Devon Barnes; and a niece, April Lynn Foster.
