Marion Man Arrested for Possession of Child Pornography

On June 8, officers with the Indiana State Police Peru District, Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC), and the Grant County Sheriff’s Office arrested a subject identified to be Jacob Deck, 25, from Marion, for Possession of Child Pornography.

The investigation began when a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) was received by the ICAC Task Force. As a result of the investigation, an arrest warrant and search warrant were obtained for Deck and his residence. Officers located Deck near his residence on Olive Street in Marion and safely took him into custody.

Once taken into custody, Deck was served the search warrant for his residence. After a subsequent search, officers located multiple electronic devices. At the conclusion of the investigation, Deck was transported to the Grant County Jail.

ISP Senior Trooper Adam York was assisted throughout the investigation by other officers from the ISP Peru Post and the Grant County Sheriff’s Office.
