Marjorie E. Poe

Marjorie Ellen Poe, 83, of Frankfort, Ind., died January 13, 2021 at her home.  She was born May 23, 1937 in Attica, Ind. to Dewey Elsworth & Ethel Ona (Ross) Stetler.  She was formerly married to Gerald Poe.

Margie attended Pine Village grade school, Logan grade school and Klondike High School and graduated from God’s Bible School in Cincinnati in 1955.  She grew up in Attica and has lived in Frankfort since 1972.  She held a children’s day care in her home for over 20 years and had worked for Emma’s Pizzeria and Clinton House.  Margie was a member of the Frankfort Bible Holiness Church.  She loved reading, playing the piano, her family, and especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by: 2 Daughters:  Kim (Steve) Waggoner of rural Mulberry and Beverly Poe of Kirklin, 1 Son:  Gregory (Becky) Poe of Frankfort, 1 Brother:  Monte (Mary) Stetler of Columbus, Ind., 1 Sister:  Emma Highlander of Frankfort, 5 Grandchildren, Brent and Bradley Waggoner, Heidi Heil, Jessie Scherer, and Christine Johnston, 5 Great Grandchildren: Dmitri, Clémence, Jude, Samuel and Eva.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Rhonda Scherer, son, Keith Poe, 2 brothers, James and Kenneth Stetler, and 4 sisters, Mary Kerns, Dorothy Tharp, Pat Burris and Naomi Marck.

Funeral Services

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday, January 18, 2021 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort, Ind.  Private family services will be held at 10:30 am. Tuesday, January 19th at Frankfort Bible Holiness Church. This service will be live-streamed on FBHChurch.com   Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made to the Frankfort Bible Holiness Church, 1947 W.
