Mary A. Brandenburg, 95, formerly of Frankfort, passed away on January 11, 2022 at Clinton Gardens, in Clinton, Ind. She was born on May 17, 1926 in Frankfort to Virgil and Trula Amich. She married Chester R. “Chet” Brandenburg on April 24, 1953 and he preceded her in death on February 5, 2011.
Mary was a life-long Frankfort resident and attended Frankfort schools. She sold Avon for over 50 years. She enjoyed square dancing with Chet, camping, and yard sales. Mary loved Avon and the people she connected with through it were very important to her.
Surviving are her Son: Larry (Dorothy) Myers of Hillsdale; Daughter: Karen Thompson of Frankfort; Grandchildren: Robb Thompson of Frankfort, Stacey (Jim) McCarthy of Kalamazoo, MI, Shane Myers of Liberty, KY, and Jason (Jennifer) Myers of Clinton; 10 Great-Grandchildren; 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren; Sister: Betty; along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son: Don Baty, son-in-law: Russell Thompson, grandson: Kevin Thompson, granddaughter-in-law: Kim Thompson, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Archer-Weston Funeral & Cremation Center, 501 East Clinton Street, Frankfort. Friends may visit from Noon until the time of service at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Bunnell Cemetery, Frankfort.
