Mary Ann McKinsey, 84, of Frankfort, died at 6:30 a.m. Friday, April 6, 2018 at her home. She was born May 3, 1933 in Delphos, Ohio to Joseph & Lauretta (Murray) Deitering. She married Wilbur E. Matzen on April 30, 1955 in Delphos, Ohio and he preceded her in death on November 1, 1969. She then married Richard D. McKinsey on May 28, 1970 in Frankfort and he survives.
Mary Ann was a graduate of St. John’s High School in Delphos, Ohio. She had lived in Delphos for 34 years, Detroit, Michigan for 3 years and in Frankfort for the last 48 years. A homemaker, she and her husband Richard were co-owners of Frankfort Super Car Wash, retiring in 1995. Mary Ann was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Frankfort, and was active in the St. Mary’s Altar and Rosary Society, Ladies of Charity, was a former extraordinary minister at St. Mary’s and was past officer of the Altar and Rosary Society. She enjoyed reading, visiting casinos, creating heirloom cross stitch pictures and spending time with family.

(Peg) Matzen of Rossville, 3 Step-Daughters: Debra (Mark) Ward of Rossville, Cindy (Mark) Smith of Frankfort and Susan McKinsey of Mulberry, 1 Step-Son: Douglas (Sue) McKinsey of Frankfort, 17 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren. In addition to her parents and first husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, 2 brothers and stepson.
Services:
Visitation will be 9-10:30 a.m. Monday, April 9, 2018 at Gruber Hall at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 600 St. Mary’s Ave., Frankfort. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Father Chris Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Buntin Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. Mary’s Building Fund, and St. Mary’s Ladies of Charity. Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S.
