Mary Ellen Ploughe, 92, of Frankfort, died December 7, 2020 at Wesley Manor. She was born December 3, 1928 in Decatur County, Indiana to William H. & O’Tillia (Pfeiffer) Picker. She married Preston W. Ploughe on July 16, 1951 in Indianapolis and he preceded her in death on February 17, 2018.
Mary Ellen was a 1946 graduate of Napoleon High School and attended Indiana Business College in Indianapolis. She grew up in Decatur County before moving to Clinton County. She worked at Pete’s Feeds and the Frankfort Library. Mary Ellen was a member 
of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
She is survived by 2 Daughters: Linda Wheeler of Frankfort and Karen (Mark) Amos of Kempton, 2 Sons: Thomas A. (Donna) Ploughe of Blue Ridge, Georgia and Rick A. (Beverly) Ploughe of Frankfort, 12 Grandchildren and 21 Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, and she was the last of eleven children.
Funeral Service:
Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Thursday, December 10, 2020 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 600 St. Mary’s Ave., Frankfort. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made to St. Vincent DePaul Society, c/o St. Mary’s Catholic Church or Paw Pals of Clinton County, P.O. Box 124, Frankfort, IN 46041.
