Mary “Lynn” Hale, 77, of Lafayette, formerly of Colfax, passed away, Friday, October 11, 2024, at Lafayette East Franciscan Hospital. She was born September 11, 1947, in Peoria, Illinois to Carl and Lula (Bledsoe) Bowen.
Lynn was a 1966 graduate of Clinton Prairie High School and then Ivy Tech with a degree in Medical Transcriptionist. She worked for St. Elizabeth Hospital and Wabash National before working at Alcoa. She was a member of Elston Family Church and the Steelworkers Union. She enjoyed bowling, country dancing, and reading mysteries. She had a wonderful uplifting personality and loved giving to and helping others. She had a witty since of humor and loved telling jokes. Her love in life was her family. She loved spending time and making memories with them that she cherished dearly.
Lynn is survived by her children, Geoff (Stephanie) Salmon, Greg (Rachel) Salmon, and Carla (Brent) Jackson; and grandchildren, Chelsea (Nick) Selbe, Corey Salmon, Taylor Salmon, Payton Salmon, Reghan Salmon, Kreigh Salmon, Hallie Jackson, Kobie Jackson, Genesis Hartman, Brooklyn Hartman, Reese Hartman, Meghan Hartman and Tyler Campbell.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial Visitation will be held Thursday, October 24, 2024, from 4-6pm at Day & Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort. A private family burial will be held later at Plainview Cemetery in Colfax.
