Mary R. Galvin 89, of Carmel, Ind., died March 11, 2018 at St. Vincent Heart Center, Indianapolis, Ind. She was born June 9, 1928 in Frankfort, Ind. to William Sanford & Lona Pearl (Stewart) Brewer. She married Francis William “Sandy” Galvin on September 5, 1950 and he preceded her in death on June 28, 2003.
Mrs. Galvin was a 1946 graduate of Jackson Township School. She was a credit manager for Alden Department Store and a bookkeeper for Jacquelyn Fry Collection for 20 years. She had lived in Frankfort prior to moving to Carmel in 1981. Mary won the American Legion Award in 1942. Mary was a loving mother and grandmother who devoted her life to her family.

ter: Jacquelyn (Gary) Bilbrey of Carmel, Ind., 1 Son: Stephen R. (Tamara) Galvin of Bloomington, Ind., 3 Grandchildren: Bryan W. Fry of Fishers, Reagan M. (Shawn) Williams of Carmel & Conor Matthew Galvin of Stanford, Cal. and 2 Great Grandchildren, Rilee N. Wilson and Vaughn E. Williams both of Carmel. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers and a sister.
Services:
No visitation is planned. Private family services will be held. Burial will be in Bunnell Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to American Heart Association.
