Marybeth Miner, 94, of Frankfort, passed away on Wednesday, December 12, 2018, at Aperion Care in Frankfort. She was born September 16, 1924, in Michigantown, to the late Lorin and Roxie (Weaver) Thompson. On November 24, 1946, Marybeth married Jim Miner; he preceded her in death on April 15, 1998.
Marybeth graduated from Michigantown High School and attended business college. She was employed in the offices of People’s Life, Mallory Control, and later General Battery, and was also a homemaker. In addition, she was an accomplished seamstress and dancer (member of the “Hot Dog Dancers” for years). Marybeth was a member of the St. Matthew’s United Methodist Church in Frankfort.
Marybeth is survived by her children, Stephen (Kathy) Miner, of Fort Collins, CO, and Richard Miner, of Frankfort; brother, Jim Thompson, of Frankfort; two grandchildren, Lauren (Andrew) Jacobson and Clay (Asha) Miner; and four great grandchildren, Bodhi Jacobson, Ruby Jacobson, Helix Miner, and Journey Miner.
A memorial service to celebrate Marybeth’s life will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2019, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort. Friends and family are invited to gather 45 minutes before the service at the funeral home. Inurnment will follow in Bunnell Cemetery.
