Maurice K. “Kent” Wilson, 75, of Frankfort, passed away on December 16, 2024 in his home. He was born on October 28, 1949 in Lebanon to Paul Leopard and Virginia Lucile (McNew) Wilson. He married Cindy Clark and they later divorced.
Kent attended Frankfort Schools and served in the 6th Battalion 40th Artillery Division of the United States Army from 1968-1969, serving as a medic in Germany. He worked for 32 years at Chrysler in Kokomo, retiring in 2000. Kent enjoyed airshows, cars, RC planes, trains, exercise, walking at the TPA park, and playing the drums. He shared breakfast regularly with his childhood friend, Chuck Pyle, and was always with his brother Walt until Walt’s passing in 2021. He loved God and sharing His word, leading many souls to the Lord over the years. He loved his cats: Buster & Bella and his dog: Comet, but his greatest joys were his children, grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Surviving are his Daughters: Crystal Wilson of Stockwell and Alicia Wilson of Frankfort; Grandchildren: Merissa (Thomas) Cox-Marshall of Clarks Hill, Tristan Ferguson of Frankfort, and Kolten Clendenning of Stockwell; Great-Grandchildren: Emma, Lilly, and Mason; Sister-in-law: Mildred Wilson of Frankfort; Nephews: Jeffery (Connie) Jones of Frankfort and Brent (Pam) Smith of Kentucky; and Nieces: Sheila (Dave) Whiteman of Frankfort and Kimberly Leslie of Darlington. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother: Walt Wilson Jr., sisters: Bettie Jayne Wilson and Brenda Joyce Smith, brother-in-law: Junior Smith, nephew: Kurtis Jones, and his niece: Rhonda Jones.
