Mayor Sheets Releases ‘Happy Easter’ Message For Community

Frankfort Mayor Judy Sheets released a statement to the community as the Easter season comes in full swing this weekend.

Sheets began her statement to the community by wishing all residents well as they embark on journeys and festivities for Good Friday and Easter throughout the weekend. Sheets transitioned into speaking about the meaning of Easter and how she views the holiday as it draws near.

“Easter reminds us of the triumps of hope and of new beginnings,” Sheets wrote. “Throughout history, we have faced challenges, but we’ve always emerged stronger–united by faith, resilience and a collective spirit. This Easter, let’s hold onto those values.”

Sheets continued to encourage community members to spend time with their families and enjoy the time away from the hustle and bustle of the week.

“Let’s gather with loved ones, share in traditions and reflect on the blessings in our lives,” Sheets wrote. “Whether attending services, participating in egg hunts or simply enjoying a delicious meal together, let the spirit of Easter fill our hearts.”

Sheets continued to encourage the community to partake in spring activities to help the community prosper and enjoy the upcoming warmer air and blooming flowers.

“This spring season brings a sense of renewal,” Sheets wrote. “As nature awakens, flowers are popping up in our parks and gardens with vibrant colors. It invites us to step outdoors, reconnect with nature and appreciate the simple beauty that surrounds us. Let’s take advantage of this time to rejuvenate ourselves and our community by supporting local businesses, volunteering or simply taking a walk through TPA Park.”

Sheets concluded by wishing the community another Happy Easter holiday season as they gather with family and friends to enjoy each other’s company.

“Together, let’s celebrate the spirit of Easter and spring,” Sheets wrote. “May this season bring joy, peace and new beginnings to each and every one of you. I am blessed to serve the City of Frankfort and to work diligently alongside you to better our community. Wishing you all a joyous Easter and a beautiful spring season.”

The City of Frankfort offices will be closed today, March 29, for Good Friday.
