Frankfort Mayor Judy Sheets announced Monday there will be a schedule change on meeting dates for the Board of Works. From now on, the Board of Works will meet on the second and fourth Mondays at 5 p.m. of each month.
“We’re just trying to have the meetings closer together so that we just have one day fill of meetings rather than spread out through the week,” said Frankfort Mayor Judy Sheets. “We are also trying to cut back on the number of meetings that we have.”
The Board of Works had been meeting on the second and fourth Wednesdays at 2 p.m.
Sheets also announced her department heads that are currently in place. They are John Kirby (Frankfort Fire Chief), Jason Forsythe (Frankfort Street Superintendent), Scott Shoemaker (Deputy Police Chief), Bart Kraning (Frankfort Parks Superintendent) and Don Stock (Director of Planning and Housing Initiatives).
There are still opening for two positions within the City. They Senior Building Inspector and Human Resources Director. It was announced Monday night that Sam Payne would remain as the Building Inspector until a replacement is found. Payne officially retired at the end of last month.
