Melissa Henderson, 60, of Frankfort, passed away June 20, 2026 at Franciscan Health in Lafayette, Indiana. She was born November 4, 1965 to Richard and Leah (Chandler) Henderson in Frankfort, Indiana.
Melissa was a graduate of Frankfort High School in 1984. She went on to receive her associates degree in nursing at Ivy Tech and was previously an RN at the Frankfort Community Hospital. Melissa was a fun-loving, extroverted person who loved people. She was a wonderful helping hand to others and had a knack for assisting with their health and healing.
Surviving are her mother: Leah Henderson of Frankfort, her brother: Craig Henderson of Lebanon , a son: Clay McKinzie, a daughter: Alizabeth “Ali” (Cory) Jakes of Frankfort, and grandchildren: Poppy and Murry McKinzie, along with several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father.
