The City of Frankfort in collaboration with the Day & Genda Funeral Services, will host a Memorial Day service at the Veterans Memorial located on the south side of Clinton County Courthouse on Monday, May 27.
The ceremony will honor all those who have served our country and made the ultimate sacrifice. The service will begin at 10:30am and will include a patriotic ceremony with the local VFW and American Legion.
Following the ceremony, a complimentary lunch will be served at the VFW located at 309 North Main Street. This is a wonderful opportunity to gather with the community and reflect on the true meaning of Memorial Day. “In Frankfort, we hold our veterans in the highest regard,” said Mayor Judy Sheets. “Together, we can ensure their legacy lives on.”
The Memorial Day service is a longstanding tradition that reflects the community’s deep appreciation for those who have served.
“We are grateful for the opportunity to work with the city to honor veterans and take time to remember those that have given their lives defending our country and protecting our freedoms. In our busy world, we hope that everyone will take time to remember with us on a very important holiday. Our city, state and country is not what it is today without the sacrifices of the men and women that gave the ultimate sacrifice. We look forward to honoring and remembering them this Memorial Day,” stated Pay Day, owner of Day & Genda Funeral Services.
