Michael Edward Hudson, Sr., 69, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2024, at his home in Kokomo, Indiana. He was born in La Porte, Indiana, on April 28, 1954, a son of the late Minor Hudson and Marion (Clark) Hudson.
Michael was married to Brenda J. (Ferguson) Hudson; she survives.
Michael was mentioned in Who’s Who Among Students in American Junior Colleges in Texas. He served in the United States Army from June 1971 to March 1972.
Michael was employed as a plumbing contractor for most of his life.
He enjoyed being in his garage, where his passion for woodworking and repair work thrived, showing his skillfulness. Michael’s garage was not only his workspace, but a place where he found happiness.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Hudson; children, Michael (Carolyn) Hudson, Jr., Connie Hudson, Kevin (Lori) Hudson, Jessie (Tresa) Dowell, and Julie Sheets; 16 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; brother, Minor “Buck” Hudson, Jr.; and sister, Ann Arndt.
In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by his daughter, Brenda Martin and his brothers, Lawrence, David, and Richard.
Funeral Services are planned at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will follow at Shannondale Cemetery in Shannondale, Indiana.
