Michael R. Roese, 77, of Frankfort, died November 6, 2021 at I.U. Health Arnett Hospital, Lafayette, Ind. He was born January 24, 1944 in Fort Wayne, Ind. to Richard & June E. (Sherrick) Roese. He married Sandy Bates on November 27, 1964 in Fort Wayne, Ind. and she survives.
Michael received his GED from Southside High School and in 1990 received his Associates Degree in Design Engineering at Interstate Technical Institute. A veteran of the U.S. Navy and Air Force, he served from 1964 to 1985. Michael was awarded two Indiana National Guard Commendation Medals and the Oak Leaf Clusters. He had worked for Protective Coatings in Fort Wayne, C.C. Murphy & Co., Garage Door Co., in Florida, Container Corp. of America and St. Joe Hospital. He was a member of the At the Well Church. Michael enjoyed animals, photography and loved his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife: Sandy Roese of Frankfort, daughter: Maria Roese of Fort Wayne, son: Scott Roese of Frankfort, sister: Janice Ramsey of Fort Wayne, 4 grandchildren, Joshua Roese, Jamie Roese, April Roese & Michael Roese, 4 great-grandchildren, Maria Roese, Bentley Mejia, & Angelina Roese & Ezekiel Mejia and one on the way. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Leah Roese on July 5, 2015.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at Green Lawn Memorial Park. Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort is assisting the family with arrangements.
