Michael Richard Hottenstine, 60, Frankfort, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, August 18, 2023. He was born in Cass County, MO on July 23, 1963 to Theodore Hottenstine and Rosalie (Jones) Miller.
Michael was a 1981 graduate of Frankfort Senior High School. He worked as a truck driver. He was a fun-loving man that never met a stranger and loved caring for others. He enjoyed playing the piano and guitar and could often be found sharing his gifts and talents of music at churches and nursing homes. He enjoyed working on bicycles and loved his family and spending time with them.
Michael is survived by his daughter, Alicia Hottenstine; brothers, Theodore Hottenstine, Jr. and David Hottenstine; companion, Tina Fortenbery; the mother of his daughter, Darla Barnes; and grandchildren, Cody Barnes and Brody Hottenstine.
He was preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter, Carly Seabolt.
A private family graveside service will be held at Bunnell Cemetery. Day & Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort is assisting with the arrangements.
