Victim Identified in Michigantown House Fire

One person is dead following a house fire that broke out Friday afternoon in Michigantown.

The Michigan Township Fire Chief has confirmed that 43-year-old Deanna Hoke died in the fire. Clinton County Sheriff’s Office deputies confirm one person was transported to the hospital for smoke inhalation.

Fire crews were called to the home around 2:30 p.m. Friday and they spent hours putting out hot spots. Investigators don’t know the cause of the fire, but believe it started in the bedroom. They added there is no indication of foul play.
