
Attorney General Jeff Sessions says the suspect in the wave of suspected mail bombs could face up to 58-years in prison. In a Justice Department news conference today, Sessions said the 56-year old Sayoc Junior will be charged with five federal crimes. More than a dozen suspected pipe bombs have been directed at high-profile targets in the U.S., primarily Democrats. Sessions said he doesn’t know why so many Democrats were targeted. He noted that the suspect appears to be “a partisan.”
Recipients include former President Obama, former Vice President Joe Biden, former First Lady Hillary Clinton, former Attorney General Eric Holder, New Jersey Democratic Senator Cory Booker, California Democratic Congresswoman Maxine Waters, former CIA Director John Brennan and former national intelligence chief James Clapper.
