Miriam Curts decided last year she wasn’t going to let her age be an excuse for not being the best she could be.
Her hopes were to lose weight and to get healthier, so she joined CrossFit Solar Flare. As Miriam approached Key Taulbee, Owner & Head Coach at CrossFit Solar Flare she told him, “I do not want to walk like an old person anymore.” Key stated, “that anyone thinking of themselves in this way was just heartbreaking. I did not see Miriam as an old person- just a motivated woman ready to change her life for the better.”
Miriam has done exactly that.
Last year Miriam did the Half MURPH in 1 hour and 10 minutes and this year she did the full MURPH in 1 hour and 17 minutes. So what exactly is the Full MURPH-

This is truly inspirational for anyone, but especially for a woman who is 78 years young. Miriam has now been a member of CrossFit Solar Flare for 18 months and continues to be a leader for her 8:30am class.
