Mildred L. Harmon, 96, of rural Clinton County, Ind., died at 2:50 p.m. August 27, 2018 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Tipton, Ind. with her loving children at her side. She was born August 21, 1922 in Marion, Indiana to Price and Mattie Lynn (Drake) Blake. She married Beach N. Harmon on November 21, 1941 and he preceded her in death on March 26, 1993.
Mrs. Harmon was a graduate of Marion High School. She was a lifelong farm wife and resident of Clinton County. She was a certified CNA working at Tipton Hospital for over 15 years. Mildred was an active mem
ber of Morning Star Church in Kokomo. She enjoyed time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling to Georgia to visit her daughter Betty, crocheting, reading and traveling the United States. The family would like to express our sincere appreciation to Dr. Destry Lambert, Dr. Lori Wisely, nurses and caregivers for the genuine love and care you provided our precious Mother “Millie”. She is survived by: 2 Daughters: Betty (Larry) Harmon-Caylor of Dalton, GA and Barbara A. (Mervin) Ricker-Hair of Pendleton, IN, 3 Sons: Beach E. (Debbie) Harmon of Fort Wayne, IN, Joe M. (Beverly) Harmon of Kokomo, IN and Jan (Betty) Harmon of Kirklin, IN, several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by 2 granddaughters, Kimberly Harmon and Angela Ricker
Funeral Services:
Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Thursday, August 30, 2018 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Funeral service will be 4 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Whiteman Cemetery, Michigantown. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Alzheimer’s Association.
